For clients
I help organizations turn complicated work into predictable delivery
Leaders call me when the work has outgrown the way they run it. I've built operating systems in my own companies, in a global sourcing business and in a major health system, and I can help you build yours.
Services
What I can take on
Fractional operations leadership
- When you need it
- Your organization has outgrown the way it runs. Priorities compete, numbers arrive late and too many decisions land on the founder.
- What you get
- A working operating rhythm: clear owners, KPI dashboards, forecasting and regular reviews your team can keep running.
Leader coaching
- When you need it
- You or your managers are capable but stretched, and need help with priorities, accountability and hard conversations.
- What you get
- Regular one-on-one coaching with a development plan, from someone who has run companies and made these calls himself.
Capital program and readiness advisory
- When you need it
- You have a major building or infrastructure project, and construction, operations and leadership aren't working from the same plan.
- What you get
- Clear governance, reporting and readiness planning that connect the project to the people who will use the building.
Process
How an engagement runs
Conversation
We talk about where things stand and what needs to change. The first consultation is free.
Scope
We agree on the outcome, what I'll deliver and how we'll work. I normally charge by the hour, with time purchased in blocks of 5, 10 or 25 hours. When you know exactly what you want, a fixed fee can work too.
Work
Weekly one-on-one sessions and operating reviews. Monthly KPIs and forecasting. Quarterly planning and goal resets.
Handoff
You keep the dashboards, procedures and routines, and your team knows how to run them after I'm gone.
Fit
When I'm the right call, and when I'm not
A good fit
- You're a small or mid-sized organization growing faster than your systems.
- You want someone who will do the work alongside your team, not only write a report.
- You have a complex project or operation where several departments must move together.
Better served elsewhere
- You need a licensed architect or engineer of record.
- You want a report but aren't ready to change how the organization runs.
Track record
Past engagements
| Client | The challenge | The result |
|---|---|---|
| Floorco and Flagship Global Sourcing | A multi-division business that needed someone to understand its processes, people and products. I came in 8 to 12 hours a week. | After a few months, I told the owners they needed a full-time leader for the operation, and they hired me for the job. |
| Social media marketing company | Needed an interim CEO and better accounting and project management systems. | New systems and business networks in place. |
| National standardized testing company | Needed a strategy for delivering testing in emerging markets. | Led the plan and rollout of a portable training room solution. |
| Construction business owners | Wanted to scale their companies in other U.S. markets. | Coached them on best practices drawn from my own company. |
He was an absolutely essential partner for us in the early days of our startup. Incredible hands on and strategic support.
